Using City Wars
These terms govern the City Wars by Patty Mayo website, game, installer, updates and online services, provided by the City Wars team. By downloading or using them, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not download or use the service. Questions: p@pattymayo.tv.
You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to accept these terms to use City Wars. Do not enter the website, download or play the game if you are under 18. The website asks you to confirm your age; it does not verify identity documents.
Your game license
We give you a personal, non-exclusive, revocable license to install and play authorized copies of City Wars, subject to these terms and applicable law. The game, artwork, software and branding remain the property of their respective owners. You may share the official download page. Do not sell the game, distribute a modified installer as an official release, remove ownership notices, or use the service for unauthorized access or exploitation.
Any third-party components remain subject to their applicable licenses. Nothing here restricts rights that applicable law does not allow us to restrict.
Open beta and updates
City Wars is in active development. Features, balancing, system requirements and availability can change. Bugs, downtime, interrupted installations and lost or incompatible progress are possible. Back up important saves.
The installer downloads game files to your chosen location. When you accept an offered update, the updater downloads changed files and replaces the existing installed copy. Network use and temporary disk space are required. Some online features may require a current version. We may suspend or discontinue features or the service; continued availability and permanent progress are not guaranteed.
Multiplayer and player content
Registering a city shares its selected ZIP location, visual city layout, preview images, game statistics and activity with the multiplayer service and public website. Multiplayer includes attacks that can damage or destroy your city. Read the in-game information before enabling it. Gameplay rules, attack locks, rankings and economic values can change.
Keep your ownership credentials private. Use city names and other contributions you are entitled to share. Do not submit private information about other people, unlawful material, hateful harassment, threats, impersonation or content that infringes another person’s rights. Do not exploit bugs or falsify online statistics to disrupt other players or rankings.
You retain rights you have in your contributions. You grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free permission to host, process, display and share them as needed to operate City Wars, including its atlas, previews, leaderboards, strike reports, community alerts and support. Privacy requests are handled under our Privacy Policy.
Virtual money and rewards
City funds, resources, missiles, rewards, properties and locations are fictional gameplay values. They are not money, investments or real-world property, do not establish ownership of a real city or ZIP code, and cannot be redeemed through City Wars for cash. In-game construction or relocation prices are paid in city funds unless a separate purchase is expressly identified.
Moderation and access
We may investigate abuse, remove prohibited public content, correct invalid game records or restrict online access for violations, security or service operation. Restrictions should be proportionate to the issue. Contact us if you believe action was taken in error. Discord has its own terms and community rules.
Availability and responsibility
To the extent permitted by applicable law, City Wars is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of uninterrupted operation, error-free performance or fitness for a particular purpose. We are not responsible for third-party services or losses caused by your sharing ownership credentials.
To the extent permitted by applicable law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from use of the game or service, including lost game progress. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, limits mandatory consumer rights, or excludes responsibility for fraud or intentional misconduct.
Changes and contact
We may update these terms as the service changes. The effective date on this page identifies the current version. Material changes will be identified here and additional notice provided where required. If you do not accept revised terms, stop using the affected service.
